Peyton's Room!

While we were waiting for Peyton to arrive I had a great time designing her room, and thanks to all the hard work Jordan was willing to do when I was too pregnant to do it we finished her room before my due date which was January 31, 2010. Little did we know Peyton had other plans and did not come until February 8, 2010. Any way here are the pictures of her room, I love her room, I love spending time with her in there, and I love that she gets a cute space that is all her own! For little girls its all in the details! I love the hat boxes, her name on the wall, the cute framed flower grandma chris made for her, the picture of the temple, her little dresses hanging above her dresser, the knobs on her dresser ect. DETAILS DETAILS DETAILS its all about DETAILS! p.s. I decided I wanted to learn to quilt, my sister in law is a very talented quilter and she helped me ... and so did Jordan (the boy can sew ha ha) any way I made Peyton's quilt, the bumper, and the bedskirt.

Ragnar Relay - Wasatch Back - 2010

We did it! On June 18 and 19 we (sore 4 sure) ran in the Ragnar relay. It was pretty challenging , but pretty fun and we are already working on the team for next year ha! For those of you who do not know, the Ragnar is a 188 mile relay race, you run this race with 12 members on your team. The run starts in Logan and ends in Park City. Our team name was "sore 4 sure" and we are! The runners were Whitney , Ashley, Katrina, Lindsay, Issac, Josh, Chris, Luke, Jordan, Me (Cara), Mac, and Erika. It took us 36 hours to finish the race ... but hey all that matters is that we finished it. It was kind of incredible to work together as a team and see how capable our bodies really are... its nice to really push yourself once in a while. And I am really proud of everyone for doing their best it was a really cool experience, I would highly recommend it to anyone!

Here is the break down of what each runner ran, every one runs 3 legs of the race :
1. 7.9 miles very hard - 8.5 miles very hard - 4.8 miles easy
2. 6.7 miles hard - 3 miles easy - 3.3 miles easy

One Cute Girl

Best things about being a Mom

1. When Peyton smiles
2. When Peyton laughs
3. Having a perfect spirit living in our home
4. Every event of the day has a title and theme song (like bath time, lunch time, nap time ect.)
5. Being able to constantly care for someone
6. Never having to be alone
7. Learning how to be a parent with your spouse
8. Watching her grow and develop (first smile, first laugh, first time she rolled over, first time she held her own bottle ect.)
9. Loving someone in a way you never knew you could, so unconditionally
...Just to name a few...

Our Life

Jordan and I have been married two years this month. Time flys by, but its definitely been the best two years of our lives! And pretty eventful. Jordan was my missionary that I waited for and often times I think back on the time we spent apart, it was a great experience for both of us for many reasons. We both grew independently and spiritually. We learned that we could stick together and make it through anything that came our way, which is a great thing to learn before you ever get married. Now, we've been so blessed with a beautiful baby girl Peyton. Honestly I look at her all the time and think that I cannot believe Heavenly Father blessed us with this baby, he trusted us with this perfect little girl who I'm pretty sure he was sad to part with for a little while. Family is for sure the best part of life; good friends and family.

Right now our life consists of Jordan working from home as a full time mortgage consultant, he loves his job. I love that he is home all the time! For Me, I am home most of the time being a Mom. Two days a week I spend working as a Dental Assistant which I really enjoy, and I also teach a "Firm Physiques" group fitness class twice a week - that job is really fun and hey I get paid to go to the gym!
