How to be Happy

I love listening to General Conference, I feel so much strength and peace and love from the messages that are shared. Here are my notes from this conference. I am so grateful that my Father in Heaven loves me enough to speak to me through his chosen apostles. I love listening to what they have to teach me, there messages if followed insure happiness. I love this quote by Larry Gelwix (rugby coach) "Good decisions don't make life easy, but they do make it easier." That is exactly my feeling on life, and I feel like that message always come through in conference. (these are not word for word quotes they are just the messages I received while I listened to conference.)

Relief society general conference 2011:
Julie B. Beck
  • the lord needs faithful woman to minister in his kingdom.
  • the relief society was organized using the priesthood power. And, revelation was used to call the leadership of relief society.

  • a society that is separated from all the evils of the world.
  • to give the woman the responsibility to prepare the world for the blessings of the temple .
  • the lord designed relief society to relieve the suffering that all sisters do or will face in this life time .

  • it is wonderful to have strengths and it is part of our mortal experience to have weaknesses
  • recognize your small successes ... God does
  • do not try to make everything perfect and meanwhile make your family miserable
  • am i committing my time to good things ... i may have to give up good things for better things
  • the problem comes when we put our happiness on hold
  • never stop striving for the best that is within you
  • the happiest people enjoy the daily things
