Turkey Day in St. George

We had such a great time in St. George this Thanksgiving, we had lots of fun eating yummy dinner, golfing, jordan and i went on a date to dinner and a movie (tower heist) , christmas shopping , played card games, and just plain relaxed... we LOVE st george!!!

 I am so grateful for my family  this year, for the examples of my friends who are near and far, as i stalk them online i learn from there examples. i am so grateful for the gospel, and the plan of salvation so that i can live knowing that jordan and peyton will always be with me in this life and the next. i am grateful for school i really love all my peers at school, i couldn't survive school with out them. and for my instructors at school who want nothing more than for us to succeed, i have learned a lot from them. i am so grateful to be a song coach and get to spend time with the cute hillcrest girls, they have taught me a lot so far and i am starting to figure out this coaching thing. oh and did i mention how grateful i am for jordan, he is my rock during my emotional rollercoaster that is school and feeling guilty being away from my family as a result. he always knows what to say and he always can make me laugh. i love him for that and am so thankful for him, and the sacrifices he makes so i can go to school. and for my baby girl who no matter how "naughty" she has been just smiles at me and melts my heart, and told me on sunday "mom, i love you... too much" ha ha.

Giving Thanks

so lately with my life being as crazy as it is i have been having a hard time seeing all the great things in my life. (i hate admitting that) i have always known that God loves me and that i have lived a very blessed life. but, still i find ways to complain and feel sorry or sad for myself. so here is my list of some of the great things in my life.

1. being away from peyton every day ... makes me love the time i get with her that much more.

2. missing quality time with jordan.... makes me realize what a great husband i have and all the sweet things he does for me when i am not home.

3. studying all the time... makes me realize how amazing it is to learn new things and how if you work hard you can accomplish anything.

4. having money be tight... makes me understand how thankful i am to have all my and my families necessities met... and makes me more grateful that i get the opportunity to go to college to better my life and my families life.

5. having no extra time... makes me have to be very organized and on top of everything (which is a good thing i guess ha ha)

6. feeling reliant on other people... (specifically all of peytons babysitters and my best friends at school) makes me realize what service and Christ - like love is all about.

7. not being able to do everything i want to for lack of time and money... makes me enjoy little things like driving in the car listening to a good song.

if you haven't realized these were todays complaints turned into things to be grateful for... and they really are things to be grateful for.

so jordan's birthday was on Nov. 1, 2011 and he had a great day which involved, no work cause he was home with peyton, he went to lunch with his mommy, he went golfing in the cold, and we went out to dinner at texas road house!
