I am so grateful for a living prophet and that he speaks to us, I am so grateful for conference and the guidance and direction I recieve from it. These are my thoughts, notes, and impressions from this conference. I bear testimony that the things talked about by messengers of God at this Conference are true and I encourage anyone interested to go and listen, read, or watch the talks and learn and from them themselves (http://www.lds.org/). I know that Christ is my savior that he lived and atoned for me.

children are a key to help us become like the savior
what qualities do children have that we need:

Home is where we learn and grow together
Walter F. Gonzalez:
He that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, they shall see the light

We are able to love and serve those around us and make good choices as we love Christ, we do what he would do

Temples will be available to all the members that is the goal
We (Jordan and I) need to be going to the temple at least once a month
Sacrifice is always involved with building and attending the temple – nothing is to big of a problem to keep us from the temple
There is no more important goal than going to the temple
Every bedroom in the house should have a picture of the temple

We need to be what we are supposed to be
We are never done being a good wife, parents, sisters, daughters ( we are never done being Christ like)
What attributes will change behavior – that is how we need to teach our children
Should not discipline children in anger
Ask the child what they learned – give the spirit a chance to teach
Our children are Gods children = treat them as such, help them live up to their potential
Teach attributes (example: instead of saying good job on getting good grades , say good job on working hard and being diligent.)

This is an awesome idea!! I should start doing this! Great notes Cara :)
I am bishop Otavio of Vila Ema ward, Brazil. I will use your comments of the general conference on a training tomorrow. I hope you don`t mind.
Thank you. I LOVED your blog.
Those were great notes! As I watch General Conference I always like to have a question in my mind of what I am searching for. Taking notes helps so much with that too! If I take notes then they will all tie back into what I am asking the Lord about. Thank you so much for sharing this great post. I love seeing other LDS members who are doing so well.
